Tech Specs
The Roll-Line Variant C (Metal Trucks) is for the beginning Competitive Skater in their Learning Stages and provides the same level of articulated performance as all of the upper level Roll-Line frames, but at a very affordable price. The Variant C from SkatesUS.com provides great performance due to its innovative design and lightweight structure. The Roll-Line Variant C is forged from a solid bar of Aircraft Aluminum Alloy and completely CNC machined. The Roll-Line Click Action adjustment system provides optimum, accurate, and consistent Action adjustments using the 04 series, 13mm base King Pins with Adjustment Click-Nuts and Locking Screws. The Variant C features Metal Trucks with the strongest Steel Axles available with adjustable Pivot Pins. The design and materials of Roll-Line Skates from SkatesUS.com, provides athletes the proper support of the skating shoe and give the most sensitive control, the greatest and absolute fastest response available from any skate, providing a sense of great stability and action.
Roll-Line Natural Rubber Suspensions provide quick and fluid energy transmission from the foot through the skate to the skating surface.
The Roll-Line Natural Rubber Suspensions are available in three hardnesses to provide the perfect skate alignment. The Upper (Large) Suspension provides the Stability of the Edge, while the Lower (Small) Suspension creates the Deep Edges, Great Turns and Spins. The Suspensions can be mixed and matched to provide a VERY Custom skate Action. Usually the Upper (Large) Suspension is harder, because it is carrying the weight of the Skater, and provides the edge stability, while the Lower (Small) Suspension is one or (more infrequently) two levels more flexible, providing great edges and changes.
Green = Flexible
Natural (Brown) = Medium
Yellow = Hard
The Variant C is provided with the Standard (Gray) Toe Stops (Metric).
Some of the newer versions of the Variant, may have a machined Slot in the base of the frame. This is an “In Production” upgrade that is being phased into production, and may not be on all and the smaller sizes. The purpose is to reduce weight, without reducing strength.

Sizing Help
1. Measure Your Feet
You need a few things:
- Socks
- A tape measure with measurements starting at the beginning of the tape, without a gap (ideally, a fabric tape measure).
- A wall (without moulding sticking out at the bottom)
- A box
Step 1
Lay the tape out with the zero starting at the wall.
Step 2
Step on the tape with your socks. Measure the longest part of your foot.
Step 3
Place a box just at your toes, put your weight on the foot you are measuring, lean slightly forward, and give your toes a wiggle (if the box nudges forward a little that's fine!).
Step 4
Gently move your foot off of the tape measure. Take note of the length to the nearest 16th of an inch or the nearest mm.
You are now ready to use our sizing calculator! Select your range in millimeters in the down menu menu below. If you have a size that is outside of the range listed below book an appointment so we can discuss what size is best for you.
IMPORTANT Notes about Fit
- Your skates will feel more snug than your street shoes! This gives you maximum performance and minimizes discomfort.
- Ideally, your toes will lightly brush the front of the skates when laced up. To get a true idea of fit, you need to lace up your skates. Lacing your skates pulls your heel back into the heel cup, and gives you a true idea of how much room you have in the toe box.
- Yes, your toes should really be touching the end of the toe box! This is to avoid the boots fitting too loose once broken in, and prevents blisters and discomfort in shins or calves. If you do not want a snug fit please adjust your size accordingly.
- This is intended as a guide and put together using the measurements from the manufactures. Unfortunately we can not guarantee the sizing, we highly recommend visiting a physical store to be sized in person to ensure the best fitting skate.
